No new bidders for Sun-Times

October 5, 2009 (CHICAGO) A five o'clock deadline came and went without any new offers. That means an investment group headed by Chicago financier Jim Tyree is the only bidder for the bankrupt Sun-Times Media Group.

Tyree has offered 26 and a half million dollars. But he is seeking concessions from union workers.

On Monday night, union leaders say they are still negotiating with the sun-times about those concessions.

On Thursday, the Sun-Times' interim CEO will ask the bankruptcy court to approve the company's sale to Tyree's group.
