Woman awarded $7 million in door injury

October 6, 2009 (ROSEMONT, Ill.) The woman was knocked to the ground by a faulty automatic door at a store in Rosemont. The incident happened in 2007, according to her lawyers from the law firm Corboy & Demetrio. They provided surveillance video of the incident. In it, Claire Putman is seen walking into the store with the doors closing on her. She fell to the ground and hit her head. She was then struck by the door again as it continued to open and close.

Putman's attorneys claim Putman suffered brain injuries.
