Officer accused in fake DUI case placed on leave

A Chicago police officer accused of making false DUI arrests has now been placed on administrative leave.A police spokesperson says Officer Richard Fiorito will be on desk duty pending an Internal Affairs investigation.

Twenty one people have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Fiorito.

Dash cam video shows the arrest of one of those people.

Many of the plaintiffs claim Fiorito targeted them as they left bars in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood.

ABC7 has learned that the Cook County state's attorney is also investigating Fiorito. His lawyer says the allegations are false.
