Police shoot man after alleged vehicle ramming

A Chicago police officer shot a man Friday after he allegedly pinned the officer's partner against a fence with his vehicle. Relatives identify the wounded man as Kenneth Williams, 25.

Police say the incident happened after they responded to a report of a man with a gun near Roosevelt and Sacramento late Friday afternoon.

Relatives say Williams did not have a gun.

The Independent Police Review Authority is investigating the shooting.

The police officer suffered minor injuries. The suspect was in stable condition Friday night.
