Partnership Walk benefits Africa, Asia

October 11, 2009 (CHICAGO) Participants raised money and public awareness in the effort to fight poverty in Asia and Africa.

The walk is organized by the group Partnerships in Action, which has organized walks in the U.S. each year since 1995.

Walkers and their supporters were treated to live entertainment and international food samplings Sunday.

In addition to Chicago's event, there were 23 other partnership walks organized throughout the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
