Arrest in hit-and-run death of Wilmette woman

October 26, 2009 Miriam Frankl, 20, was crossing the street in front of her campus apartment building in Baltimore when she was struck and killed. It was just over a week ago.

Police found a damaged pick-up truck believed to be involved in the accident but not the driver.

This weekend, 39-year-old Thomas Lee Meighan Junior was arrested and charged with 18 different violations.

Frankl was a junior at the university majoring in molecular and cellular biology.
