Debi Lilly, lifestyle expert and owner of A Perfect Event, has 5 easy Do it Yourself Tricks and Treats for the perfect party.Step 1: Create a central focal point

Cover your dining table with a bright orange cloth to add a splash of instant color. This is a gorgeous rental cloth from Windy City Linens.

I love to add further texture by sprinkling hay ontop the cloth for instant rustic chic.

Step 2: Add details layer by layer

Design custom luminaria by printing vintage silhouette artwork onto white paper, wrapping it around a glass vase, adding a knotted ribbon detail, and inserting a candle for a warm glow.

Layer various heights and sizes of luminaria for a warm, glowing collection and surround by scattered votive candles and mini pumpkins.

Step 3: Party Potions

Taste tempting tonics like ginger cider, cranberry fizz, and pinot noir are displayed in bottles with aged custom labels.

Spooky straws are made with black licorice and Halloween motifs that are printed onto cardstock, and cut to a small square, with a slit at top and bottom to slide the straw through.

Displayed behind them are medicine and specimen jars filled with tinted water and natural seed pods for an eerie affect.

Step 4: Tasty Tricks

Fun finger foods make for a monstrous menu themed to the season that every age is sure to enjoy.

Pumpkin Sliders are made using a jack o lantern cookie cutter on the cheese slice. When cooking the burgers, add the cheese at the end of cooking, for just a minute or two, to retain the shape.

Yummy Pizzas are fun and delicious - and with only 4 ingredients they are so quick and easy.

Crabcakes are always a sure fire crowd pleaser - and by adding creepy red pepper legs they are instant spooky spiders.

Peanut Noodles become Worm Salad and is fun served in mini take out boxes with custom labels and chop sticks.

Step 5: Treats

I love this tiered stand for display - featuring a different tasty treat on each tier.

Ghost Cups, made of Whip Cream filled Chocolate Cups with Chocolate Sprinkle Eyes are an eerie delight.

Black and Chocolate Licorice Cups look very dark and mysterious - but taste delicious!

More Cupcakes on Delaware offer the perfect favors - prepacked to go cupcake boxes. We added custom labels and ribbon - the finishing touch to our devlish delights!
