Mourners honor Ind. Ft. Hood victim, others

November 14, 2009 (CHICAGO) Mourners in Plymouth, Ind. remembered staff Sgt. Justin Decrow. Patriot Guard members escorted his body to the Plymouth Presbyterian Church.

Decrow had attended Plymouth High School and leaves behind a wife and daughter.

President Obama, who was in Asia over the weekend, spoke of Decrow and the other Fort Hood victims in his weekly Web address.

"This nation will never forget the service of those we lost at Fort Hood, just as we will always honor the service of all who wear the uniform of the United States of America. Their legacy will be an America that is safer and stronger, an America that reflects the courage of the men and women who serve it," said the president.

Mr. Obama left Japan and arrived in Singapore earlier Saturday where he was scheduled to attend meetings with the Asian-Pacific Economic Corporation.

In Kiel, Wis., thousands attended Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger's funeral, which was held inside a high school gym. Her body was also escorted by the Patriot Guard to its final resting place.

Krueger was 29 years old.
