Jan Schakowsky endorsed Giannoulias for the Senate seat currently held by Roland Burris. She praised Giannoulias' abilities to work for health care reform. and criticized Republican Senate hopeful and current Rep. Mark Kirk, "siding with the insurance companies."
Giannoulias is facing competition in the February Democratic primary from Cheryle Jackson, David Hoffman and Jacob Meister.
