An annual survey calls south suburban Tinley Park, Ill., the best place in the U.S. to raise children.The fourth annual survey by BusinessWeek magazine ranks cities with populations of at least 45,000 and a median income between $40,000 and $125,000. The survey looks at factors such as affordability, safety, air quality and job satisfaction, among others.
"It's exciting that our Village is recognized now by a national and highly respected magazine that specializes in understanding what makes a place highly livable and special," said Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki in a statement.
The survey specifically cited Tinley Park's schools, parks, affordability and access to jobs as reasons for its ranking.
