Best in Dough submission: Almond Crescents

ABC7 Chicago is happy to announce the 'Best in Dough' holiday cookie contest is back this year.Almond Crescents

Ingredients:

1 Cup Butter
6 Tbsp Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Cup finely chopped Almonds
Additional Confectioners Sugar

Mix all ingredients until smooth with electric mixer. Take 1 Tablespoon size of dough and roll in your hands shaping it into a crescent, place on cookie sheet. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Remove cookies from baking sheet and immediately roll in Confectioners Sugar. Allow to cool on bakers rack. Cookies can be stored at room temp for up to 1 week or frozen to last longer.
