Friday reduced-service day for city offices

November 24, 2009 (CHICAGO) City Hall, public libraries, health clinics, and most other city offices will be closed. It's part of a plan the city hopes will save $8 million.

However, all public safety services, including police and fire, will remain at full strength and will not be impacted.

Garbage will be picked up on Friday since it won't be collected on Thanksgiving.
