Chicago's City Council unanimously passed a resolution today honoring the late School Board President Michael Scott."The entire Scott family, you'll always be in our prayers," Mayor Richard Daley said. "We'll be praying for him. I know he'll be praying for all of us."

Daley was the final speaker and praised his close friend.

Aldermen adopted the resolution by rising in respect to Scott.

The mayor presented a bound copy of the resolution to Scott's wife, Diana Palomar Scott, who is ABC7's vice-president of community affairs, and the Scotts' son, daughter and other relatives.

The school board president's body was found on Nov. 18. The medical examiner ruled that he committed suicide.
