Aldermen adopted the resolution by rising in respect to Scott.
The mayor presented a bound copy of the resolution to Scott's wife, Diana Palomar Scott, who is ABC7's vice-president of community affairs, and the Scotts' son, daughter and other relatives.
The school board president's body was found on Nov. 18. The medical examiner ruled that he committed suicide.
