A suburban soldier killed this week in Afghanistan was remembered on Wednesday night for his service to his country.Family and friends and even people that didn't personally know Specialist Jason McLeod held a candlelight vigil tonight in front of his family's home in Cary.
The 22-year-old soldier was killed in a mortar attack in Afghanistan.
McLeod was on his second tour of duty and just three weeks away from coming home.
McLeod graduated in 2006 from Crystal Lake Central High School and leaves behind a wife and a 15-month-old daughter.
