Weis: Scott alone at Chicago River before death

Police Superintendent Jody Weis said the city's huge network of surveillance cameras captured images of Scott on the night he died.Weis says the cameras show Scott did not meet with anyone before his death last month along the Chicago River. He was alone.

Weis stopped short of calling Scott's death by a single gunshot wound a suicide.

"I hope to make a call in this case in the near future, but as of right now, we'll keep this as a death investigation. We want to take one more hard look at everything and make sure we haven't missed anything-- make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed and just make sure we didn't miss anything in this case," said Supt. Jody Weis, Chicago Police Department.

The Cook County medical examiner has ruled Scott's death was a suicide.
