Chicago French Market opens at Ogilvie

Developers call it the first and only European market of its kind in the area.The Chicago French Market opened in the West Loop Thursday with fresh produce, seafood, breads, pastries and a lot more.

The French Market is located in the Metramarket connected to the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Mayor Daley was on hand for the opening of the 15,000-square foot facility.

"This will be a destination point for Metra riders people who live in the community, people who visit Chicago, it will be a great destination," said Daley.

The European-inspired indoor market will be open year-round... 6 days a week.
