Suspects wanted in attacks on runaways

December 8, 2009 (AURORA, Ill.) The suspects - Arturo Sandoval, 29; Ivan Flores, 28; Misael Contreras, 31; and Jose Hernandez, 34- live in a home in the 300-block of Grant Place in Aurora, where the alleged offenses occurred.

The men face multiple charges connected to the alleged harboring and sexual crimes committed against the runaways.

  • Sandoval is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, four counts of harboring a runaway, and a single count of tattooing the body of a minor;
  • Flores and Contreras are each charged with single counts of criminal sexual assault;
  • and Hernandez has been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

    The suspects are accused of sexually abusing or assaulting two 15-year-old girls who had runaway. Both were wards of the state in March and April 2009, when the alleged crime was reported. Neither victim was held against her will, according to investigators.
