The storefront is right next to the offices of 38th Ward Alderman Tom Allen and Democratic committeeman PJ Cullerton.
The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Witnesses say there was another woman and some children in the SUV as well.
People in the area helped them get out.
Police haven't said what caused the crash.
