In September Cook County sheriff's police rescued nine dogs from three homes. Some of the dogs were badly injured.
The day care operator was not charged in the crime- but the license was revoked.
A third defendant in the case is awaiting trial.
Men sentenced in dog fighting case
December 10, 2009 (MAYWOOD) Martez Anderson, 38, and Lance Webb, 27, of Maywood, pleaded guilty to felony dog fighting charges.
Anderson was sentenced to two years in jail.
Webb received 18 months.
