The principal of a far north suburban high school has resigned after the district found out he was the subject of a sexual harassment case in Plainfield. The move comes about a week after reports that he was the subject of a sexual harassment investigation while a principal in Plainfield last year.

On Thursday night, the school board accepted the resignation of Grayslake North High School Principal Eric Vance. Last week, our news partner the Daily Herald raised questions about Vance's one-year career as principal at Plainfield North High School.

Vance went on a paid leave of absence after the article appeared. He was not at Thursday night's meeting. Board members had no comment.
