Authorities investigate pair of bank robberies

December 12, 2009 (CHICAGO) The first was at the MB Financial bank branch at 1400 16th Street in Oak Brook. Shortly after 5 p.m., a lone robber, described only as a white male, presented a note to a teller which threatened both a gun and bomb. He left the bank with an unknown amount of cash.

The second robbery was at a Chase bank branch, located at 5200 West Dempster in Skokie. Around 5:40 p.m., a lone robber entered the bank and handed a teller a note, announcing a robbery. He also escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
