A Chicago police officer rescued a woman from a burning home this morning in the city's far south side community of Roseland. Police say the officer went into the burning home near 100th and King Drive. He found a woman lying on the floor, lifted her up and got her out the front door.

Both the officer and the woman suffered smoke inhalation, but were treated and released.
