Police say a 49-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy went to a house on Indian Trail Ridge looking for a family member they believed was being held against their will.
Investigators say the pair went to the wrong house.
One of the homeowners shot the man and the teen. The man was critically hurt.
Police say the family member he was looking for was safe.
No charges have been filed.
