Research shows drinkers consume more booze at home

December 31, 2009 British researchers say people tend to pour well over what they would get in a bar.

Those between the ages of 31 to 50 are considered the most generous pourers, giving nearly an extra half-ounce of alcohol in each drink they made.

The "Know Your Limits Campaign" says that can be a problem because people may unwittingly be serving and drinking much more alcohol then they realize.

Health experts say using a measuring cup could help make a big difference.
