Investigators say 48-year-old Jerry Hudson is a person of interest. They say he made several threats to his ex-wife, Melissa Bridgewater, who was 45 years old.
According to authorities, Bridgewater was leaving the Doubletree hotel in Oak Brook early Friday morning when a gunman approached her car in the hotel parking lot and shot her in the head execution style.
The woman had just begun dating someone else after recently divorcing Hudson.
