Suspect charged in Fenger student's murder

January 4, 2010 (CHICAGO) Fred Couch, 16, was shot to death outside a store on 119th street last Wednesday. He was a student at Fenger High School.

The shooting was captured by a surveillance camera.

Police identified 42-year-old Randall White as the suspect after reviewing the surveillance tapes and conducting interviews. They say he tried to flee when officers arrived at his home a few blocks away from the scene of the shooting. He was arrested after a short foot chase.

White is scheduled to appear in bond court on Tuesday.
