January 6, 2010 --Netflix subscribers will have to wait a little longer to get some new movie releases. Netflix says its DVD-by-mail service will not send out the latest blue ray and DVD releases from Warner Brothers until 28 days after those movies hit the market.
The moratorium gives Warner Brothers a chance to sell more discs.
This deal is the first of its kind for Netflix.
The company says it expects to strike similar deals with other movie studios this year.
