Police issue alert for sex assault suspect

January 11, 2010 (CHICAGO) According to police, the 20-year-old victim was walking in the 12200-block of South Ashland Avenue at approximately 3 a.m. when a black male pulled up alongside her in a black vehicle. The offender allegedly approached the victim and displayed a silver colored semi-automatic handgun. Police say he then forced her into the car, drove to nearby train tracks and sexually assault the woman. After the assault, police say the offender left the victim at the scene then fled in his vehicle.

Police describe the offender as a male black, approximately 30 years of age, 5'10 to 6'3 tall, 200 to 250 pounds with brown eyes, short black hair and a moustache. He also has a scar on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing a black "Sean John" hooded sweatshirt and black stone washed jeans. The offender was observed driving a black 90s model, two-door Chevy Monte Carlo, according to authorities.
