Rush to back Stroger for Cook Co. Board pres

January 12, 2010 Rush will officially announce his support at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. He's the highest ranking lawmaker to back the incumbent.

A coalition of clergy, civic, elected officials will join the congressman at the event.

Stroger faces Dorothy Brown, Terrence O'Brien and Toni Preckwinkle in the February 2 Democratic primary.

On Monday, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky endorsed Preckwinkle.
