Trib endorses Hoffman, Kirk for Senate

January 12, 2010 The newspaper says it's supporting Democratic candidate David Hoffman and Republican Congressman Mark Kirk.

Hoffman is also getting the support of the Sun-Times.

Kirk is running against Donald Lowery, Andy Martin, Kathleen Thomas, John Arrington and Jack Patrick Hughes, while Hoffman is running against fellow Democrats Cheryle Jackson, Alexi Giannoulias, Jacob Meister and Robert Marshall.

Green Party candidate Lealan Jones is also in the race.
