Union identifies pilots who belly-landed jet in NJ

January 13, 2010 (CHICAGO) The pilots are Capt. Dale Nordhausen and 1st Officer John Eskuri. Neither returned phone messages left on Wednesday.

Nordhausen told the New York Post that he's happy everyone on the flight was OK.

The union says the pilots will speak publicly Thursday at the union office in Rosemont.

One of the plane's main landing struts did not come down, so the crew landed without it. The plane's belly struck the runway and the right wing was damaged, but no one was hurt.
