January 26, 2010 (CHICAGO) --A man convicted of shooting at a Metra train in an effort to kill the engineer was sentenced to 11 years in prison.Telly Virgin faced 20 years behind bars but prosecutors say he was given a lighter sentence because he cooperated in the case against Theodore Howard.
Virgin testified last fall that he was hired by Howard to kill Howard's ex-wife.
The shooting happened in June of 2007.
No one was injured.
Howard was found guilty last fall but has not been sentenced.
