City of Mesa to announce Cubs' training location

January 26, 2010 (CHICAGO) It's been reported that the Cubs have settled on Mesa, Arizona which has been the Cubs' spring training home since 1952.

Monday night, the Mesa City Council approved a deal to build an $84 million stadium and training facility for the team.

Mesa voters still have to approve the stadium and funding will have to be approved by the Arizona legislature.

A news conference is scheduled at the Arizona state capitol in Phoenix at 11:30 am on Wednesday.
