Study: No pregnancy link to memory loss

February 3, 2010

Australian researchers say women have been mislead by a fallacy known as "baby brain". That's the assumption that pregnancy makes women become forgetful or have trouble concentrating.

A study in the British Journal of Psychiatry says research on more than 50 women showed no impact on memory when some of the women became pregnant.

Some doctors suggest this is all about pregnant women just being physically stress and more tired. Sleep deprivation can make it tough for men or women to function effectively.
