Fake Coach, Chanel goods found in North Side bust

February 4, 2010 (CHICAGO) Chae Kim, 67, and Sun Kim, 62, of Glenview, Ill. were each charged with one felony count of unauthorized use of trademarks. Two others were charged with one misdemeanor count of unauthorized count of trademark.

Police arrived at a business in the 4500 block of N. Clark Street on February 3, 2010 to execute a search warrant. After searching the premises, the officers found a large quantity of counterfeit goods ranging from Coach bags to Chanel sunglasses. Police also discovered fake designer labels and a device to attach the labels to the merchandise.

Chae Kim and Sun Kim appeared in bond court on Thursday.
