February 9, 2010 (CHICAGO) --A 3-year-old boy is in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services after he was left at a Chicago fire station. The woman, who said she was the boy's aunt, told firefighters at the Grand Crossing Station on the South Side she was being called into active duty with the Navy overseas and could not take care of the child. She said the boy's mother left him at her home a few days ago.
The boy was examined by doctors and is fine. He is now in DCFS custody.
Police are looking for the child's mother and the woman who left him at the station.
