Geologists: Quake happened on unknown fault line

While geologists know the epicenter of Wednesday's earthquake was near Pingree Grove which is in the New Madrid fault zone, they now say it most likely occurred on a previously unknown fault line.Geologists say there are a number of small fracture zones extending throughout the state.

The quake's magnitude was measured at 3.8. It hit about 4 a.m. Wednesday and was felt in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin.
