Filmmaker fires back at airline on Twitter

February 14, 2010 Kevin Smith may be best known for portraying Silent Bob in films like "Clerks" and "Mallrats," but he has been 'tweeting' about his experience with Southwest.

Smith was flying from Oakland to Burbank Saturday when he was asked to leave.

Southwest policy states that passengers who can't lower the armrests comfortably need to buy two seats.

Smith originally purchased two seats but changed his plans when he decided to fly standby, and only one seat was available.

He insists he fit in the seat, but the crew asked him to leave anyway.

The airline gave him a $100 voucher.
