2 charged in Will Co. phone shop robberies

February 18, 2010 (JOLIET, Ill.) Michael Hughes, 21, of Joliet faces two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated battery. Theodore Williams, 21, of Joliet, faces a robbery charged and a count of aggravated battery.

In one incident at a T-Mobile store Feb. 8 in a strip mall along Jefferson Street, near Caterpillar Drive, the suspects allegedly wounded one of the employees in the store before getting away with several phones and money.

And at about 8:40 p.m. Feb. 2, two men robbed a Sprint store at 13327 Route 59 in Plainfield. One man held a handgun to an employee's head, while his partner sprayed another employee in the face with pepper spray.

Investigators are seeking a third man involved in the robberies, but have not released his identity.
