New 'American Connection' to fly out of O'Hare

February 21, 2010 (CHICAGO) According to reports in the Chicago Tribune, American's reshaped O'Hare operation will be called American Connection. They will subcontract with Chautauqua Airlines to carry American customers to as many as 15 cities.

American expects a 13 percent increase in flights from O'Hare, but nearly all of those will be handled by the new American Connection.

Pilots from American and its subsidiary, American Eagle, are calling the move illegal under their current contract, and American Eagle pilots have filed a grievance challenging the move.
