Polish Museum may close

February 23, 2010 (CHICAGO)

The Polish Museum has operated on Chicago's North Side since 1935. Curators describe it as the largest and oldest Polish American Museum in the country with 900 members.

The president and director of the facility sent a letter to members informing them the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America has suspended its yearly $100,00 subsidy.

Donations are being sought because the museum only has enough funding to operate through mid-March.
