On Wednesday, Mayor Daley announced the School at Work program at St. Anthony's Hospital on the Southwest Side.
The goal is to provide entry level hospital workers with education and job training to enhance their skills.
The mayor says investing in these workers will help people advance in current jobs create new job opportunities and in the long run make Chicago more attractive to future employers.
More than $176,000 from the federal economic stimulus program is funding the program for more than 150 hospital employees.
