Man wanted in girl's attempted kidnapping

February 25, 2010 (CHICAGO) On Friday, Feb. 5 around 3:30 p.m. in the 7600-block of South Sangamon Avenue the victim was approached by a man driving a tan Ford Taurus sedan. The man reportedly slowed his vehicle and attempted to lure the victim inside. The girl walked away, but she said the offender continued to follow her. Then the girl ran home.

The would-be kidnapper was described as a black man, 25-35 years old, with a medium build and light complexion. He reported to be wearing a dark cap and black jacket.

The van involved was possibly late-1990's or early 2000's model.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
