Weis to Chicago residents: 'Silence kills'

February 28, 2010 (CHICAGO) Weis spoke Sunday morning at Greater St. John Bible Church on North Waller.

Weis told the congregation that the police department's number one priority is to keep children safe, but he said the department can't have an officer on every corner. Instead, he said anyone with information on a crime needs to come forward.

The superintendent mentioned the killing of 12-year-old Jahmeshia Conner from Englewood, saying the department hasn't received any tips to help solve the case.
