March 7, 2010 (CHICAGO) --There is a new name in the race to replace Scott Lee Cohen as the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor. Sheila Simon, the daughter of late U.S. Sen. Paul Simon, has submitted her application to be considered.
Sheila Simon calls her chances of being named the nominee "a long shot," but says she wants to help the Democrats win.
Simon also is a member of Gov. Pat Quinn's government reform commission.
