3 wanted in SW Side auto store robberies

March 8, 2010 (CHICAGO) The robberies all took place along Ashland and Western between West 63rd and West 75th streets.

Police say the robbers enter the store, display handguns and demand money from registers and the store safe.

One of the robbers is described as a black man, 20-25 years old, 5'7"-5'9", 150 lbs., medium to dark complexion and armed with a handgun. A second robber is described as a black man in his early to mid twenties, 5'5"-5'7", 150 lbs., with a short, black Afro, dark complexion, wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun. There was no description available for a third accomplice.

Police reissued the alert Monday after a similar alert Jan. 12 produced no leads.

Anyone with information is asked to call police, and businesses in the area are encouraged to be on alert.
