Bond denied for man charged in fatal Fla. accident

March 17, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Ryan LeVin, 35, is facing charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of accident.

Fort Lauderdale police say that in February, 2009 he was driving a Porche at a high rate of speed and lost control. The car went on a sidewalk and hit two men. Both were tourists from Great Britain. Their deaths sparked international outrage.

Levin, who grew up in Barrington and is formerly of Hoffman Estates, has denied he was driving the car.
