March 19, 2010 (CHICAGO) Indiana State Police led the procession to lay 45-year-old Christopher Jenkins to rest. The Walsh Construction worker died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Tuesday while he was patching potholes.
Also Friday, police charged Robert Shannon in connection with the crash. He is charged with reckless homicide and failure to stop at an accident involving death.
Police say the suspect may have been speeding and had an open container of beer in his car.
