Bond was set for a Far South Side man accused of shooting another man in the foot Saturday.Mario Hallom, 28, of the 300-block of West 118th Street, faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm to a person, unlawful use of a firearm by a felon, domestic battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm in an occupied building. The 24-year-old male victim was shot in the foot Saturday afternoon in the 300-block of West 118th Street.
The victim was standing in the street when the shots were fired. Both the victim and shooter were found in a home.
An officer responding to the incident also suffered a broken ankle jumping over a fence while trying to get the suspect out of the home.
Bond was set at $500,000 Monday.
