Kevin Long was arrested last week after he allegedly tried to bring hunting knives into the Daley Center. Police then raided his Northwest Side home, where the recovered 1600 knives, handguns and other weapons.
Long, who is considered a potential threat to judges and other court personnel, appeared in court on Tuesday. A judge barred him from all Cook County courthouses unless he is required to be there by law.
The $1 million bond is on top of the $350,000 bond set for Long after last weeks' arrest.
